ABACUS provided Construction Management Services for the new Physical Education complex. The 71,300 square foot facility includes classrooms, swimming pools, a gymnasium, dance / gymnastic floor, racquetball courts, weight-training facilities, softball and soccer fields. The project also included demolition of an existing building, which was found to have been built on an active fault line.

The pool features include: 8-lanes; 50-meters, outdoor reinforced concrete / shotcrete shell, in-ground design, secondary training pool 25’ X 50’, automatic “Raypack” natural gas-fired hot water heating and circulating system, Automatic Water Treatment System using Bromine self-metering distribution system, deck drainage system consists of bronze deck drains connected to underground drain pipes and conduction surface water to storm drain system.
